Have you ever tried using washi tape for crafts? It’s seriously a blast!
Especially when you’re getting creative with the kids. One of our favourite things to do is decorate Easter eggs with it!
What’s so cool about washi tape is how versatile it is. It’s super thin and kind of see-through, which makes it perfect for jazzing up those little, quirky-shaped objects like eggs. Plus, the colours and patterns that you can get them in almost limitless.
Ready to give it a go? Let’s dive in!
MATERIALS
- Washi Tape

INSTRUCTIONS
Prep Your Eggs
Before you start to decorate, you should hard boil your eggs. Once they are ready, you can either dye them using your preferred method or leave them their beautiful natural colour. We’ve tried both and think the natural colours set off the washi tape a tad better.
Add Tape!
To decorate, simply wrap the eggs in washi tape however you like! This activity is great for little kids, because it doesn’t really require scissor skills. You can choose to use scissors to cut the tape into fancy shapes such as triangles, but you can also just tear it and it works just as well!
Display Your Eggs
Once decorated it’s time to display them in all their beauty for all to behold
