A structured senior class providing formal art instruction for teen creators. Our program is designed to challenge and inspire, helping young artists develop confidence, independence, and their own unique style. Across weeks 1-3, students build on and master foundational skills.

In weeks 5-9, they design and create a personal project from start to finish, with one-on-one mentoring and a group showcase in week 9 to celebrate their progress. From mastering techniques like shadow, perspective, and composition to experimenting with media such as charcoal, acrylics, ink, and collage — this course is about growth, expression, and creative discovery. The goal being to develop independence while applying earlier foundation skills.

This class will learn with Graphite & Coloured Pencils; Black-line Markers; Soft pastels and Acrylics, inks  and Watercolours.

Duration: 2 Hours, Every Tuesday for Nine weeks (Starting Tuesday 7th October 2025)

These weekly after school classes are a commitment for the 9-week school term. Bookings are essential. Term fees are to be paid in full before the term commences unless otherwise agreed. Art materials are not supplied except for Acrylics and inks. For missed classes, make-up classes are offered in another class held during the same term or holiday programs.

Content: Covering a variety of subjects using the three main types of drawing – Observation, Memory and Imagination. Lessons in Accuracy & Proportion Value + Shading Mastery, Perspective + Space, Colour theory + Mixing, Perspective Drawing, Composition and Planning.

Class Raffle: At the end of term 4, one lucky student per class wins a wonderful prize pack of art materials.

  • Snacks provided but students are welcome to bring an after-school snack and water bottle to keep their energy levels up and brain hydrated.
