Kim will walk you through the process of choosing your mandala design and colourway, followed by adorning your premium timber porthole with layers of luscious real feathers in whatever colour scheme tickles your fancy! You'll learn how to create, balance and glue all the feathers together to finish your masterpiece. Your guests will be swooning "Oh what a Bohemian Dream!" when they sight it. Come be Screen Queens for a day with Kim where you will be guided down a path of creativity & inspiration that will have your home popping hot with vibrant textile prints. You'll create an artful fabric design using painting and screen-printing techniques. This is perfect for beginners and requires no previous experience. You’ll be coached through the process and encouraged to release your fears and get your creative juices flowing in an inspiring, well-structured and super fun workshop. First, you will explore different brushwork and painting styles to create the background design, learning about positive and negative space. Then you’ll get to experiment with printing techniques using a silkscreen and squeegee, learn about pressure, flooding and technique. You will use Kim’s personal designs to screen-print and be using eco-friendly non-toxic paints to create beautiful and dynamic designs.
